Pastor Anthony & Heather Payton

Pastor Anthony graduated from Ohio Christian University earning an Associate Degree in Christian Ministry Studies. He then received a Bachelor of Science degree at Indiana Wesleyan University in Biblical Studies. To further his education, he attended Wesley Seminary to achieve a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministries. He continued his quest for professional studies and earned a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). He also became a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C) through the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals. This certification has been extremely helpful as he also works as a hospice chaplain. His goal and passions are to see people receive the emotional and spiritual support to enjoy life and live in the peace and comfort that Christ has provided. As he leads the church, it is his desire to create an atmosphere that is conducive to wanting to learn and grow and model after the life of Jesus.

Heather, like Anthony, has a shared desire to see people be inspired in life and do well not only spiritually but emotionally. Heather received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education through Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Developing and educating children is now her focus after spending the time to raise their four kids. She is using her teaching skills not only in the school’s classroom, but she has developed and implemented a children’s church program to get kids stimulated to want to know Jesus and walk with Him.
